Introduction
When we talk about high-end robot vacuum cleaners in 2025 and 2026, three names stand out strongly: the Dreame L40s Pro Ultra, the Roborock Qrevo Curv 2 Flow and the Mova V50 Ultra. All three units feature a complete multifunction base, which means they not only vacuum and mop, but also automate mop maintenance by washing and drying them after each clean. These are robots designed for users looking to maximise home care automation, especially in medium or large homes where autonomy and intelligent management capability make the difference.
The Dreame L40s Pro Ultra arrives as a balanced proposition from a brand that has gained ground by offering competitive technology. The Roborock Qrevo Curv 2 Flow, launched in February 2026, represents the most recent offering from the world's leading brand in this sector. The Mova V50 Ultra, also from 2025, shares technological DNA with Dreame but adds some differentiating details worth analysing.
Power and Suction
Suction power is one of the aspects where these three models differ most. The Mova V50 Ultra leads with 24,000 Pa, a figure that in practice translates into greater capacity to remove ingrained dirt from carpets or tile joints. The Roborock Qrevo Curv 2 Flow reaches 20,000 Pa, whilst the Dreame L40s Pro Ultra remains at 19,000 Pa. The difference between the Dreame and the Roborock is minimal in everyday use, but the Mova's leap can be noticed on medium-pile carpets.
As for the main brush, we find two different philosophies. The Dreame L40s Pro Ultra and the Mova V50 Ultra feature the HyperStream dual brush system, specifically designed to prevent long hair tangles. The Roborock Qrevo Curv 2 Flow opts for its DuoDivide anti-tangle brush, which pushes hair towards the central gap to facilitate direct suction. Both systems work well with pets, although the HyperStream design tends to require less manual maintenance.
All three robots lift the main brush during mopping to prevent it getting wet and also raise the side brush. However, only the Dreame L40s Pro Ultra and the Mova V50 Ultra integrate an extendable side brush, which significantly improves sweeping in corners and along skirting boards. The Roborock Qrevo Curv 2 Flow compensates for this absence with a dual anti-tangle side brush, but doesn't achieve the same coverage in corners.
Mopping
Here important differences appear that directly affect the final result. The Roborock Qrevo Curv 2 Flow uses a 270 mm roller that covers more surface in a single pass. This system is effective on smooth, large floors. The Dreame L40s Pro Ultra and the Mova V50 Ultra employ two rotating mops that exert greater spot pressure, which works better on stuck-on dirt or tile joints.
All three models extend the mops to better reach edges. The Dreame L40s Pro Ultra and the Mova V50 Ultra also incorporate the Roboswing system, which adds a lateral movement to insert the mop under furniture or overhangs. The Roborock doesn't include this function, although its 15 mm mop lift with AdaptiLift system far exceeds the 10.5 mm of the Dreame and Mova, allowing it to cross thick carpets without wetting them.
A notable difference: the Mova V50 Ultra mops with hot water directly from the robot, something neither the Dreame nor the Roborock offer. All three wash the mops with hot water at the base and dry them with hot air, but carrying hot water during mopping improves the dissolution of grease and stuck-on dirt.
The Dreame L40s Pro Ultra and the Mova V50 Ultra can automatically remove the mops at the base when only vacuuming is needed. The Roborock Qrevo Curv 2 Flow doesn't have this capability, which means removing them manually if you want to prevent the roller touching the floor in vacuum mode. For homes where vacuuming and mopping alternate according to zones, this can be inconvenient.
Navigation System
All three units navigate using LiDAR turret, although the Mova V50 Ultra boasts a retractable LiDAR that reduces the robot's total height. All integrate AI camera for obstacle recognition, front 3D laser sensor, LED for night vision and remote camera access from the app.
The Dreame L40s Pro Ultra and the Mova V50 Ultra feature dual AI camera, whilst the Roborock Qrevo Curv 2 Flow incorporates a single one. In number of recognised obstacles, the Roborock and Mova identify up to 200 different types, compared to 180 for the Dreame. The difference is minimal in daily practice, although the Roborock and Mova can be somewhat more precise in environments heavily saturated with objects.
The Dreame L40s Pro Ultra and the Mova V50 Ultra detect curtains and adjust their behaviour to avoid getting tangled. The Roborock Qrevo Curv 2 Flow lacks this specific function, which may require using virtual barriers in areas with long curtains.
Autonomy and Battery
The Mova V50 Ultra carries a 6,400 mAh battery that provides 220 minutes of autonomy. The Dreame L40s Pro Ultra, with 5,200 mAh, also reaches 220 minutes. The Roborock Qrevo Curv 2 Flow, with the same 5,200 mAh capacity, extends autonomy up to 242 minutes thanks to more efficient energy consumption management.
In homes up to 200 square metres, any of the three completes cleaning without problems. The Roborock's extra autonomy can make a difference in houses over 250 square metres or in very thorough cleans with multiple passes.
Smart Functions
All three robots overcome obstacles, although with different capability. The Roborock Qrevo Curv 2 Flow crosses thresholds up to 20 mm directly. The Dreame L40s Pro Ultra and the Mova V50 Ultra manage simple thresholds without specifying exact height, although in practice they're around 18-20 mm as well.
All incorporate their own voice assistant in addition to compatibility with Alexa and Google Home. This allows controlling them without needing to open the app, something useful for launching quick cleans or locating the robot when you can't find it.
Multifunction Cleaning Base
All three bases perform auto-emptying of the dust bin, mop washing with hot water and drying with hot air. The Dreame L40s Pro Ultra and the Mova V50 Ultra integrate third-generation washing tray self-cleaning, as does the Roborock Qrevo Curv 2 Flow.
The Mova V50 Ultra adds UV disinfection in the base, something neither the Dreame nor the Roborock include. This function eliminates bacteria in the mop washing area, reducing bad odours long-term.
Regarding detergent tank, the Mova V50 Ultra incorporates a dual tank, allowing different products to be used according to floor type or dirt level. The Dreame L40s Pro Ultra has a single detergent tank. The Roborock Qrevo Curv 2 Flow doesn't include a detergent tank, which means manually adding product to the clean water tank if you want to use it.
The dust bag of the Dreame L40s Pro Ultra and the Mova V50 Ultra reaches 3.2 litres, compared to 2.7 litres for the Roborock. In large homes or with pets, this can translate into one or two more weeks between bag changes.
Water tanks also vary. The Dreame L40s Pro Ultra carries 4.5 litres of clean water and 4 litres of dirty water. The Roborock Qrevo Curv 2 Flow drops to 4 litres of clean water and 3.5 litres of dirty water. The Mova V50 Ultra remains at 4 litres of clean water and 3.5 litres of dirty water. For homes over 150 square metres with frequent mopping, the Dreame's tanks offer somewhat more margin.
The Dreame L40s Pro Ultra allows purchasing an optional plumbing connection kit, although it doesn't come integrated from the factory. Neither the Roborock nor the Mova offer this possibility.
Dimensions
The Mova V50 Ultra stands out for its height of only 89.5 mm, the lowest of the three. This allows it to slip under furniture, beds or sofas where the other two can't reach. The Dreame L40s Pro Ultra measures 103.8 mm in height, whilst the Roborock Qrevo Curv 2 Flow reaches 119 mm. If you have low furniture, the Mova makes a real difference.
In diameter, the Dreame L40s Pro Ultra and the Mova V50 Ultra share 350 mm, compared to 353 mm for the Roborock. Minimal differences that don't affect manoeuvrability.
The bases also vary in size. The Roborock Qrevo Curv 2 Flow's is more compact: 450 mm wide, high and deep, forming almost a cube. The Dreame L40s Pro Ultra's measures 340 mm wide, 590.5 mm high and 456.7 mm deep. The Mova V50 Ultra's remains at 420 mm wide, 470 mm high and 458 mm deep. The Roborock occupies less floor space, although its cubic shape may be less visually discreet.
Real-world experience
For large homes, the Mova V50 Ultra offers the best combination of power (24,000 Pa), large battery (6,400 mAh) and generous tanks. Its ability to mop with hot water improves results in kitchens or high-traffic areas. UV disinfection adds a hygiene bonus if there are pets or small children.
The Dreame L40s Pro Ultra balances features and price well. Its extendable side brush and Roboswing system improve coverage in corners and under furniture. The ability to automatically remove mops makes it easier to alternate between pure vacuuming and mopping according to needs. The larger water tanks reduce refills in large homes.
The Roborock Qrevo Curv 2 Flow stands out for its 15 mm mop lift, ideal if you have thick carpets you want to protect from water. Its 242-minute autonomy is the highest in the group. The 270 mm roller covers more surface per pass, although it loses some pressure compared to rotating mops on stuck-on dirt. The absence of a detergent tank and the inability to automatically remove mops are its main limitations.
With pets, all three work well thanks to their anti-tangle brushes. The Mova V50 Ultra adds advantage through its superior power and UV disinfection that keeps the base more hygienic. The Dreame L40s Pro Ultra and the Mova V50 Ultra sweep corners better where hair tends to accumulate thanks to the extendable side brush.
Conclusion: Which to choose?
Choose the Dreame L40s Pro Ultra if you're looking for a solid balance between features and price, you value being able to automatically remove the mops to alternate cleaning modes, and you need generous water tanks for large homes. Its extendable side brush
