Introduction
We are looking at three proposals launched in 2025 that represent the latest in autonomous cleaning technology. The Mova P50 Pro Ultra and the Mova P50s Ultra share the same manufacturer, whilst the Dreame X50 Ultra Blanca comes from Mova's parent brand. All three units are positioned in the high-end range, with complete multifunctional bases that wash and dry the mops, as well as automatically emptying the dust container.
These models are designed for users seeking total automation in daily cleaning. The main difference between them lies in aspects such as suction power, navigation system, robot height and some details in the tanks. For large homes with pets or mixed flooring, any of these options offers advanced performance, although each has nuances that may tip the balance depending on specific needs.
Power and Suction
Suction power marks a notable difference. The Mova P50s Ultra leads with 24,000 Pa, a figure that places it amongst the most powerful on the current market. The Dreame X50 Ultra Blanca remains at 20,000 Pa, whilst the P50 Pro Ultra reaches 19,000 Pa. In practice, these differences can be noticed especially on thick carpets or when vacuuming heavier debris such as sand or cereals.
Regarding the main brush, we find two configurations. The P50 Pro Ultra mounts a TriCut 3.0 brush, a design that combines bristles with blades to reduce hair tangles. The P50s Ultra and the Dreame X50 incorporate a dual brush system that further minimises hair accumulation. All three models include main brush lifting during mopping, which prevents dragging wet dirt over freshly mopped surfaces.
The side brush is identical in functionality: all three feature extension to better reach corners, lifting during mopping and anti-tangle design. This homogeneity guarantees effective edge sweeping, regardless of the chosen model.
Mopping
All three robots use a system of two rotating mops with side extension and Roboswing movement, which allows the unit to slightly insert the mop under overhangs and furniture. Mop lifting reaches 10.5 mm in all cases, sufficient to transit over thin carpets without wetting them.
All mop with cold water, both on the floor and when washing mops in the base. Drying is carried out with hot air, speeding up the process and reducing bad odours. Dirt detection works on two levels: they recognise stains on the floor for automatic re-mopping and analyse the state of the mops to decide when to wash them during the mopping session.
A practical shared function is the automatic removal of mops in the base when only vacuuming is desired. This eliminates the need to manually handle the textiles each time we change cleaning mode.
Navigation System
Here appears one of the most interesting technical differences. The Mova P50 Pro Ultra employs a system with visible LiDAR turret, whilst the Dreame X50 Ultra Blanca mounts a retractable LiDAR that reduces the total height of the robot. The P50s Ultra opts for FlashPulse, a navigation system that dispenses with the traditional turret, contributing to its ultra-low profile of 82.5 mm.
All three integrate dual camera with artificial intelligence, front 3D laser sensor and LED for night vision. Remote camera access is available on all, allowing home monitoring from the mobile application. The difference in obstacle recognition favours the P50s Ultra and the Dreame X50, capable of identifying up to 200 different objects, compared to 160 for the P50 Pro Ultra. In homes with many objects on the floor or with young children, this additional capability can translate into fewer interruptions during cleaning.
All recognise pets and curtains, adapting their behaviour to avoid frightening animals or getting tangled in hanging fabrics.
Autonomy and Battery
The battery of the Mova P50 Pro Ultra is 5,200 mAh, with a declared autonomy of 210 minutes. The Mova P50s Ultra and the Dreame X50 Ultra Blanca increase to 6,400 mAh, although we only know the autonomy data for the Dreame X50: 180 minutes. This apparent contradiction between greater capacity and lower autonomy in the Dreame X50 can be explained by the higher suction power of the P50s Ultra or differences in energy management.
For homes of up to 200-250 m², any of the three completes cleaning without problems. On larger surfaces, the P50 Pro Ultra could offer an advantage in continuous sessions, although the difference in battery capacity of the P50s Ultra and the Dreame X50 suggests greater margin for intensive cleaning.
Smart Functions
All three models overcome obstacles of considerable height. The P50 Pro Ultra crosses up to 22 mm, whilst the P50s Ultra and the Dreame X50 Ultra Blanca are described as capable of overcoming simple steps without specifying the exact measurement. In practice, this means transitioning without problem between different types of flooring, climbing onto thick carpets or overcoming small level changes such as sliding door guides.
All include their own voice assistant, as well as compatibility with Alexa and Google Home. Integration with CleanGenius, the artificial intelligence system that manages cleaning patterns and automatic adjustments, is present in all three units.
Multifunctional Cleaning Base
The bases share similar structure: auto-emptying of the dust container, mop washing with hot water, drying with hot air and third-generation self-cleaning of the tray where the mops are washed. All integrate a detergent tank to dispense product during mop washing.
The main difference lies in UV disinfection, present in the Mova P50s Ultra and the Dreame X50 Ultra Blanca, but absent in the P50 Pro Ultra. This system helps eliminate bacteria in the mops after washing, a hygiene bonus especially valuable in homes with young children or allergy sufferers.
The Dreame X50 also offers an optional plumbing connection kit, which must be purchased separately. It allows connecting the base directly to the water supply and drainage, eliminating the need to manually refill and empty tanks. The P50 Pro Ultra and the P50s Ultra do not contemplate this option.
Regarding capacities, the dust bag is 3.2 litres in all three cases. The clean water tank measures 4 litres in both Mova units and 4.5 litres in the Dreame X50. The dirty water tank is 3.5 litres in the Mova units versus 4 litres in the Dreame. These differences are minimal in day-to-day use, although the Dreame X50 may require slightly less maintenance in very extensive mopping sessions.
Dimensions
The diameter is identical in all three: 350 mm. Height marks important differences. The Mova P50s Ultra, at 82.5 mm, is the lowest, followed by the Dreame X50 Ultra Blanca at 89 mm. The P50 Pro Ultra reaches 103.8 mm, which may limit its access under certain low furniture, sofas or beds with little clearance from the floor.
The bases present different configurations. Both Mova units measure 420 mm wide, 470 mm high and 458 mm deep. The Dreame X50 is narrower (340 mm) but taller (590.5 mm) and slightly deeper (456.7 mm). It is advisable to measure the available space before deciding, especially if the base will be located under furniture or in a specific recess.
Real-world experience
For large homes, the Mova P50s Ultra combines the highest suction power with a large 6,400 mAh battery, although we do not know its exact autonomy. The P50 Pro Ultra offers 210 declared minutes, sufficient for extensive surfaces. The Dreame X50, with 180 minutes and 6,400 mAh, sits at a midpoint.
If there are pets, all three main brushes are designed to minimise tangles, but the dual brush system of the P50s Ultra and the Dreame X50 may facilitate maintenance somewhat more compared to the TriCut 3.0 of the P50 Pro Ultra. The superior power of the P50s Ultra also helps extract embedded hair from carpets.
In homes with low furniture, the P50s Ultra makes the difference with its 82.5 mm height. It can clean under more surfaces than the other two models. The Dreame X50, at 89 mm, also improves on the P50 Pro Ultra in this aspect.
For those who prioritise maximum hygiene, the UV disinfection of the P50s Ultra and the Dreame X50 provides additional peace of mind. The plumbing connection kit of the Dreame X50, although optional, may prove decisive for users seeking total automation without manual intervention in water maintenance.
Conclusion: Which to choose?
Choose the Mova P50 Pro Ultra if you are looking for a declared autonomy of 210 minutes and do not mind doing without UV disinfection. It is a solid option for large homes where the robot's height does not pose a problem under furniture. Its price may be more competitive than the alternatives.
Choose the Mova P50s Ultra if you need maximum suction power (24,000 Pa) and an ultra-low profile to access under furniture. Its FlashPulse system, the ability to recognise 200 obstacles and UV disinfection make it the most technically complete option. Ideal for homes with pets, low furniture and high demands for deep cleaning.
Choose the Dreame X50 Ultra Blanca if you value having slightly larger water tanks, a larger dust container in the robot (395 ml) and the future possibility of adding the plumbing connection kit. Its height of 89 mm offers a good balance between accessibility under furniture and stability. With 20,000 Pa, 200 recognised obstacles and UV disinfection, it perfectly covers comprehensive cleaning needs in homes of any size.
