Introduction
Dreame presents in 2025 two proposals that mark different paths in home cleaning. The Dreame Aqua 10 Ultra Roller opts for a mopping system with a rotating roller capable of exerting 12N of pressure, whilst the Dreame X50 Ultra Blanca maintains the traditional approach of two rotating mops with 3.0 technology and Roboswing function. Both units integrate multifunctional bases with high-temperature mop washing, but their technical differences orient them towards different user profiles.
The choice between one or the other will depend on the type of dirt typically found at home, the layout of spaces and preferences regarding maintenance. The model with roller is particularly interesting for those seeking more intensive mopping, whilst the version with mops offers greater autonomy and a base with more advanced self-cleaning systems.
Power and Suction
The Dreame Aqua 10 Ultra Roller reaches 30000 Pa in Turbo mode, a figure that exceeds its range companion by 10000 Pa. This difference is particularly noticeable on medium-pile carpets and in picking up embedded debris. For homes with pets that shed a lot of hair or spaces where fine dust accumulates, this additional power makes a difference.
Both models share the double anti-tangle brush system already installed from the factory. This design considerably reduces long hair tangles and facilitates maintenance. Both raise the main brush during mopping and feature an extendable and liftable side brush, which allows efficient corner sweeping without interfering when mopping.
Mopping
Here we find the most significant difference in this robot vacuum comparison. The Dreame Aqua 10 Ultra Roller employs a roller that exerts 12N of constant pressure on the floor, a system reminiscent of upright electric mops. This roller lifts up to 14 mm when it detects carpets, a height greater than the 10.5 mm of the X50 Ultra Blanca. Additionally, it incorporates MopExtend function to reach edges.
The Dreame X50 Ultra Blanca uses two rotating mops with 3.0 extension and Roboswing, a lateral movement that allows the mops to reach under furniture and overhangs. In practice, this system is more versatile for spaces with low furniture, although the roller offers greater mopping intensity on very dirty floors.
The mop washing temperature also varies: 100°C on the model with roller versus 80°C on the one with mops. Hotter water means better dissolution of grease and adhered dirt. However, the X50 Ultra Blanca incorporates mop drying at 45°C, a function not specified on the Aqua 10 Ultra Roller. Hot air drying accelerates the process and reduces the risk of bad odours.
Only the X50 Ultra Blanca can automatically remove the mops at the base to perform vacuuming sessions without mopping. The model with roller does not have this option, which requires manual intervention if only vacuuming is desired.
Navigation System
Both Dreame robot vacuums integrate retractable LIDAR and dual RGB camera with front 3D laser sensor. The Aqua 10 Ultra Roller incorporates the AI Sage 15.0 Octa-Core processor and recognises up to 240 types of obstacles, compared to the 200 of the X50 Ultra Blanca with AI Sage 13.0 Octa-Core. This difference may translate into slightly more precise navigation in complex environments with many objects on the floor.
Both models detect pets, recognise curtains to avoid tangles and allow remote access to the camera. The front LED facilitates night vision, useful for scheduled cleanings in the early hours without bumping into dark objects. AI intelligent cleaning is present in both, although the X50 Ultra Blanca calls it CleanGenius Pro.
Autonomy and Battery
They share a 6400 mAh battery, but the Dreame X50 Ultra Blanca offers 180 minutes of autonomy compared to the 160 of the Aqua 10 Ultra Roller. The greater suction power of the model with roller explains this additional consumption. For homes of up to 150-180 m², either one completes the cleaning without needing an intermediate recharge.
Smart Functions
The Dreame Aqua 10 Ultra Roller stands out for its capacity to overcome obstacles between 42 and 80 mm in height, which allows it to navigate thick rugs, sliding door guides or small level changes. The X50 Ultra Blanca reaches up to 60 mm, a figure more than sufficient for most homes but which may fall short in spaces with pronounced architectural barriers.
Both units include simple voice assistant, with neither integrating a robotic arm for additional tasks.
Multifunctional Cleaning Base
The X50 Ultra Blanca incorporates third-generation washing tray self-cleaning already installed from the factory, in addition to UV disinfection. The Dreame Aqua 10 Ultra Roller does not specify these functions. Tray self-cleaning notably reduces manual maintenance and prevents debris accumulation in the base itself.
Both feature double detergent tank in the case of the Aqua 10 Ultra Roller, whilst the X50 Ultra Blanca has a single tank. The dust bag reaches 3.2 litres in both models. Regarding water, the Aqua 10 Ultra Roller has 4 litres of clean water and 3.5 of dirty, compared to the 4.5 and 4 litres respectively of the X50 Ultra Blanca. More dirty water capacity is practical in large homes where mopping generates a greater quantity of residual liquid.
Both offer an optional kit for connection to plumbing, although it does not come integrated as standard. This accessory allows automatic refilling and emptying of tanks, although being optional it should not weigh too heavily in the purchase decision.
Dimensions
The Dreame X50 Ultra Blanca measures 89 mm in height, compared to the 97.5 mm of the Aqua 10 Ultra Roller. Those 8.5 mm of difference can be decisive for passing under certain furniture or radiators. In homes with low sofas or beds with little space underneath, the more compact model accesses areas inaccessible to the other.
The diameter is identical in both: 350 mm. The bases present different configurations: the Aqua 10 Ultra Roller occupies 420 mm width, 500 mm height and 440 mm depth, whilst the X50 Ultra Blanca measures 340 mm width, 590.5 mm height and 456.7 mm depth. The base of the first model is wider but less tall, which can facilitate its placement under shelving or in spaces with limited height.
Real-world experience
For homes with pets that shed a lot of hair, the Dreame Aqua 10 Ultra Roller offers greater suction power and better performance on carpets. Its roller system is especially effective in kitchens or high-traffic areas where sticky dirt accumulates. The 14 mm roller lift better protects carpets during mopping.
The Dreame X50 Ultra Blanca, with its lower height, accesses more complicated spaces and its automatic mop removal function simplifies daily use. The third-generation tray self-cleaning reduces weekly maintenance, something appreciated in day-to-day life. Mop drying at 45°C ensures they do not remain damp between cleanings.
Both models adapt well to homes of up to 180 m² thanks to their autonomy. The robot's water tank varies: 160 ml in the Aqua 10 Ultra Roller and 80 ml in the X50 Ultra Blanca, although this does not pose a real problem because both return to the base to refill during mopping. The robot's dust bin is more generous in the X50 Ultra Blanca (395 ml versus 220 ml), which can reduce the frequency of auto-emptying in very large homes.
Conclusion: Which to choose?
Choose the Dreame Aqua 10 Ultra Roller if you seek maximum suction power and a mopping system with roller that exerts constant pressure on the floor. It is ideal for homes with pets, medium-pile carpets and areas where embedded dirt accumulates. Its capacity to overcome obstacles of up to 80 mm makes it a solid option for homes with pronounced level changes. The double detergent tank and mop washing at 100°C guarantee hygienic maintenance.
Choose the Dreame X50 Ultra Blanca if you prioritise ease of maintenance and need a robot that passes under low furniture. Its 89 mm height, third-generation tray self-cleaning, mop drying at 45°C and UV disinfection notably reduce manual tasks. Automatic mop removal facilitates alternating between vacuuming and mopping without intervention. With greater autonomy and a larger dust bin in the robot, it is convenient for spacious homes where total autonomy is valued. The rotating mop system with Roboswing adapts better to spaces with low furniture and complex layouts.
