Introduction

The Dreame X60 Pro Ultra and the Mova V50 Ultra represent two robot vacuum proposals with multifunctional base stations that share quite a lot of technological DNA, although with nuances that mark real differences in day-to-day use. The former arrived in May 2026, whilst the latter was launched during 2025. Both are designed for users seeking complete home maintenance automation, with advanced mopping systems and bases that wash and dry the mops with hot water.

We're looking at high-end devices with retractable laser navigation, dual RGB cameras and the ability to recognise hundreds of obstacles. The fundamental difference lies in suction power, side brush design and some details in the mopping system that may tip the balance depending on the type of home and specific needs.

Power and Suction

The most evident difference in this robot vacuum comparison appears in suction power. The Dreame X60 Pro Ultra practically doubles the Mova V50 Ultra's capacity with its 42,000 Pa compared to 24,000 Pa. In homes with long-pile carpets or pets that shed a lot of hair, this difference is particularly noticeable during deep vacuuming.

Both models incorporate dual anti-tangle brushes, although with slightly different technologies. The Dreame robot vacuum features the HyperStream Duo system, whilst the Mova V50 Ultra is equipped with an adapted version of the same concept. Both main brushes can be lifted during mopping to avoid dirtying already clean surfaces.

The side brush marks another relevant difference. The X60 Pro Ultra features intelligent extension that optimises cleaning in corners and edges, whilst the V50 Ultra has standard extension. Even more relevant: the Dreame model incorporates a specific brush for skirting boards that the Mova doesn't include. For homes with skirting boards where dust accumulates, this can be decisive.

Mopping

Both robot vacuums use a system of two rotating mops that extend to reach edges. The Dreame X60 Pro Ultra features intelligent extension, whilst the Mova V50 Ultra incorporates RoboSwing movement to get the mops under furniture and overhangs. These are different approaches to solving the same problem: reaching where other robots can't.

Mop lifting shows a significant difference. The X60 Pro Ultra can lift them up to 21.5 mm, practically double the V50 Ultra's 10.5 mm. This matters when the robot has to pass over carpets or doormats during a mopping session. With greater lift, the risk of wetting surfaces that shouldn't be dampened is reduced.

Regarding water temperature, the Dreame robot vacuum mops with hot water at 45°C, whilst the Mova reaches 50°C. Minimal difference in practice, although theoretically hotter water helps dissolve grease better. Both feature dirt detection on both the mops and the floor, which allows automatic re-mopping of particularly stained areas.

Both models can automatically detach the mops at the base to perform pure vacuuming sessions without dragging the pads across the floor.

Navigation System

The navigation section shows very similar equipment. Both robots integrate retractable LiDAR, dual RGB cameras, front 3D laser sensor and LED for night vision. The difference lies in the number of recognised obstacles: the Dreame X60 Pro Ultra identifies up to 320 different objects, whilst the Mova V50 Ultra recognises 200.

In practice, this translates to greater precision from the Dreame model in avoiding less common items or those with complex shapes. Both recognise pets, detect curtains and allow remote access to the camera from the mobile for home surveillance.

The X60 Pro Ultra features additional lighting in its obstacle avoidance system, which can improve recognition in dark areas or under furniture with poor lighting.

Autonomy and Battery

Both robots feature a 6,400 mAh battery, more than sufficient capacity for large homes. The Mova V50 Ultra specifies 220 minutes of autonomy, whilst the Dreame X60 Pro Ultra mentions Power Master technology that optimises consumption according to cleaning mode. Without specific minute data for the X60 Pro Ultra, it's difficult to establish a direct comparison, although the greater suction power could consume more energy in maximum mode.

Smart Functions

Both models can overcome simple steps, although neither specifies the exact height. This function is useful for passing small level changes between rooms or the edge of thick carpets.

Both incorporate their own voice assistant in addition to compatibility with Alexa and Google Home. The CleanGenius AI system manages intelligent cleaning in both robots, adapting power and strategy according to the type of dirt detected.

Multifunctional Cleaning Base

The multifunctional bases of both models auto-empty the dust container, wash the mops with hot water and dry them with hot air. The dust bag has identical 3.2-litre capacity in both cases.

The Dreame X60 Pro Ultra features a 4.2-litre clean water tank and 3 litres of dirty water. The Mova V50 Ultra slightly reverses the proportions: 4 litres of clean water and 3.5 of dirty. Minimal differences that barely affect mopping autonomy.

Self-cleaning of the washing tray is present in both. The X60 Pro Ultra uses hot water, whilst the V50 Ultra boasts third generation of this system. One notable difference: the Mova integrates UV disinfection in the base, something the Dreame model doesn't include. For users concerned about hygiene or with allergies, this may be relevant.

The Mova robot vacuum features dual detergent tank compared to the Dreame's single tank. This allows using different products depending on floor type or alternating between normal detergent and disinfectant.

The Dreame X60 Pro Ultra offers an optional plumbing connection kit that is purchased separately. It doesn't come integrated, but allows you to forget about manually refilling tanks. The Mova V50 Ultra doesn't have this option even as an accessory.

Dimensions

Both robots share a 350 mm diameter, standard in most circular models. The difference is in height: the Dreame X60 Pro Ultra measures 79.5 mm, whilst the Mova V50 Ultra reaches 89.5 mm. One centimetre may seem little, but it determines whether the robot passes or not under certain furniture, sofas or beds with little clearance from the floor.

As for the bases, we only have complete measurements for the Mova V50 Ultra: 420 mm wide, 470 mm high and 458 mm deep. It's advisable to reserve sufficient space and access to a nearby socket.

Real-World Experience

The Dreame X60 Pro Ultra is particularly suitable for large homes where suction power makes the difference. Its 42,000 Pa and greater mop lift make it the better option if there are long-pile carpets or several doormats scattered around the house. The skirting board brush adds a cleaning bonus in areas that other robots barely touch.

The lower profile of the X60 Pro Ultra facilitates access under low furniture. If you have ottoman beds, sofas with little clearance or modern design furniture close to the floor, those 10 mm of difference can determine whether the robot cleans those areas or not.

The Mova V50 Ultra compensates with UV disinfection in the base and dual detergent tank. For homes with young children, allergy sufferers or simply users who value maximum hygiene, the ultraviolet light adds an extra layer of disinfection that the Dreame doesn't offer. The dual tank allows more versatile cleaning strategies without manually changing the product.

The V50 Ultra's RoboSwing system helps get the mops under furniture through swinging movement, complementing its greater height with mechanical ingenuity. Although it doesn't completely replace the advantage of a lower profile, it mitigates the problem to some extent.

Conclusion: Which to Choose?

Choose the Dreame X60 Pro Ultra if: You're looking for maximum suction power for large homes, you have thick carpets or pets that shed a lot of hair. Also if you need the robot to pass under low furniture and value the specific brush for skirting boards. The possibility of adding plumbing connection may interest you if you want total automation in the long term. Its greater obstacle recognition capacity provides extra precision in homes with many objects on the floor.

Choose the Mova V50 Ultra if: You prioritise UV disinfection in the base and the dual detergent tank for different cleaning products. It's a good option for homes where height isn't a critical issue and you value maximum hygiene of the mopping system. The RoboSwing movement is useful in homes with many overhanging furniture or protruding skirting boards. Its 24,000 Pa power is still more than sufficient for most homes without particularly demanding carpets.
