The Dreame L50s Pro Ultra and the Mova E40 Ultra represent two consecutive generations of the same design philosophy. The former arrives in 2026 as a direct evolution of the latter, launched in 2025. Both units integrate a complete multifunction base with auto-emptying, mop washing and drying, which places them in the high-end range of the robot vacuum market. The main difference lies in the amount of technology and advanced features incorporated in the most recent model.
These robots are designed for users seeking autonomous and complete cleaning, both in vacuuming and mopping, with minimal maintenance required. Homes with pets, mixed flooring and large spaces can particularly benefit from the features they offer.
Power and Suction
Suction power marks a significant difference between both models. The Dreame L50s Pro Ultra robot vacuum develops 30,000 Pa, a figure that exceeds the Mova E40 Ultra and its 19,000 Pa by more than 10,000 Pa. This difference can be particularly noticeable on thick carpets or in homes with pets that shed a lot of hair.
The brushing system also evolves. The Dreame features a dual HyperStream brush, a design that considerably reduces hair tangles thanks to its two rollers anchored at one end. The Mova, on the other hand, uses a single anti-tangle brush. Both systems work well, although the dual brush usually offers better performance in homes with animals.
The L50s Pro Ultra's main brush lifts during mopping, preventing it from getting wet and reducing the risk of spreading damp dirt. The Mova E40 Ultra does not incorporate this function. The big difference lies in mop washing. The Dreame L50s Pro Ultra washes with hot water, which improves the removal of stains and grease during the self-cleaning process at the base. The Mova E40 Ultra uses cold water. Both dry the mops with hot air, helping to prevent bad odours.
The L50s Pro Ultra automatically removes the mops at the base when you only want to vacuum, something the Mova does not do. Additionally, the Dreame model detects dirt both on the mops themselves and on the floor, adjusting mopping intensity and returning to wash or scrub the dirtiest areas. The Mova lacks these detection functions.
Navigation System
Both robots integrate 3D LiDAR turret and 3D front laser sensor to avoid obstacles. However, the Dreame L50s Pro Ultra adds a dual camera with artificial intelligence, capable of recognising up to 220 different types of obstacles. The Mova E40 Ultra does not specify the number of obstacles it identifies and does not incorporate an AI camera.
The Dreame robot vacuum allows remote camera access, a useful function for home monitoring. It also detects curtains and has night vision LED to move with precision in dark environments. The Mova does not offer any of these three features.
Both recognise pets and have intelligent cleaning via CleanGenius AI. The Dreame adds specific AI stain recognition to intensify cleaning in those areas.

Smart Functions
The Dreame L50s Pro Ultra overcomes single thresholds up to 40 mm, double that of the Mova E40 Ultra, limited to 20 mm. This can make a difference in homes with small level changes between rooms or with thick carpets.
The L50s Pro Ultra integrates its own voice assistant, in addition to compatibility with Alexa and Google Home. The Mova is only compatible with external assistants.
Multifunction Cleaning Base
The bases of both robots share many features: auto-emptying with 3.2-litre bag, 4.5-litre clean water tank and 4-litre dirty water tank. Both wash and dry the mops with hot air.
The Dreame L50s Pro Ultra incorporates third-generation tray self-cleaning, a system that keeps the area where mops are washed clean. The Mova does not have this function. The Dreame's base also includes an integrated detergent tank, whilst on the Mova E40 Ultra this tank is optional and must be purchased separately.
The plumbing connection kit exists for the Dreame, although it is also purchased separately. The Mova does not have this option.
Dimensions
The Mova E40 Ultra measures 97 mm in height, compared to the Dreame L50s Pro Ultra's 103.8 mm. Those nearly 7 mm of difference can be decisive for passing under low furniture. Both have a 350 mm diameter.
As for the bases, the measurements are practically identical: 340 mm wide, around 590 mm high and approximately 457 mm deep. It is advisable to reserve sufficient space for the base, as it takes up quite a lot of room.
The robot's tanks also vary slightly: the Dreame has 250 ml for dust and 80 ml for water, whilst the Mova reaches 300 ml for dust and 80 ml for water.
Real-World Experience
In homes with pets, the Dreame L50s Pro Ultra offers clear advantages: greater suction power, dual HyperStream brush and dirt detection to go over problematic areas. The Mova E40 Ultra also works well, although with less room for manoeuvre when faced with abundant hair.
For homes with various types of flooring, the Dreame manages the transition between vacuuming and mopping better thanks to brush lifting and automatic mop removal. The Mova requires manual intervention if you want to prevent the mops from touching carpets.
The Mova's lower profile can be decisive in homes with very low furniture. If the spaces under sofas or beds are tight, those millimetres of difference allow access to areas that the Dreame would not reach.
The Mova's declared autonomy of 210 minutes is sufficient for large surfaces in a single session. The Dreame does not specify this data, although with the same battery it should offer similar performance in medium power modes.

Also if you need to overcome thresholds up to 40 mm or prefer the robot to automatically remove the mops when you are only vacuuming. Tray self-cleaning and the integrated detergent tank reduce maintenance.
Choose the Mova E40 Ultra if your priority is to pass under very low furniture thanks to its lower height, if 19,000 Pa of suction covers your needs and if you prefer a simpler model without giving up a complete multifunction base. Also if you are looking for a more economical option within the high-end range, as it does without some advanced technologies that not all users need. The robot's dust tank is somewhat larger, which can slightly extend the time between automatic emptying.
