Introduction
Three models launched in 2025 compete in the robot vacuum segment with multifunctional base stations. The Dreame L10s Ultra Gen 3 arrived on the market in November of that year, whilst the Mova P50 Ultra and the Roborock Qrevo S5V completed the catalogue of advanced offerings. All three units integrate auto-empty systems, mop washing and hot air drying, albeit with significant differences in power, tank capacity and navigation functions.
These are solutions designed for users seeking complete automation of maintenance. The choice will depend on the size of the home, the presence of pets, the need for extra power or the importance given to details such as self-cleaning of the washing tray.
Power and Suction
The Dreame L10s Ultra Gen 3 stands out with 25,000 Pa of suction power, a figure that clearly surpasses the 19,000 Pa of the Mova P50 Ultra and practically doubles the 12,000 Pa of the Roborock Qrevo S5V. This difference translates into greater capacity to pick up ingrained dirt, pet hair or debris on medium-pile carpets.
Regarding the brushing system, the Dreame and the Mova feature a SimpliCut-type main brush (anti-tangle silicone), whilst the Roborock opts for its DuoDivide anti-tangle design. All three systems reduce hair accumulation, albeit with different construction approaches.
A peculiarity of the Mova P50 Ultra is that it allows the main brush to be raised during mopping, a function that neither the Dreame nor the Roborock offer. This can prove useful on delicate floors where one prefers to avoid contact with the rotating brush whilst mopping. The Mova also raises the side brush in mopping mode, a feature exclusive to this model.
Both the Dreame and the Mova integrate an extendable side brush, which improves cleaning in corners. The Roborock Qrevo S5V does not have this extension. On the other hand, the anti-tangle side brush is present on the Mova and the Roborock, but not on the Dreame.
Mopping
All three robots employ two rotating mops for mopping. Dreame and Mova extend the mops with Roboswing movement, a system that allows better reach to edges and slightly inserts the mop under overhangs. The Roborock also extends the mops, although without specifying the lateral swing mechanism.
Mop lift reaches 10.5 mm on the Dreame L10s Ultra Gen 3 and on the Mova P50 Ultra, compared to 10 mm on the Roborock Qrevo S5V. Minimal differences that in practice are not usually noticeable, but which can make a difference when traversing short-pile carpets.
All three models wash the mops in the base station with hot water and dry them with hot air, which speeds up the process and reduces bad odours. None automatically removes the mops for vacuum-only sessions, nor detects dirt on the mops or floor for automatic re-mopping.
Navigation System
All feature a LIDAR turret for laser mapping, complemented with obstacle avoidance systems. The Dreame and the Mova incorporate a front 3D laser sensor, absent on the Roborock. This technology improves detection of low objects and reduces collisions in complex environments.
The Dreame L10s Ultra Gen 3 recognises pets, a function that is not present on the Mova or the Roborock. The Mova, however, detects curtains, a feature exclusive to this model. None integrates a camera with remote access or LED for night vision.
All three units feature AI-based intelligent cleaning: CleanGenius on Dreame and Mova, SmartPlan on Roborock. These functions adjust routes and power according to floor type and detected dirt level.
Runtime and Battery
Battery capacity is identical across all three models: 5,200 mAh. The Dreame declares 231 minutes of runtime, the Roborock 180 minutes. The Mova does not specify this data. In practice, actual runtime depends on cleaning mode, floor type and simultaneous use of vacuuming and mopping.
With 231 minutes, the Dreame L10s Ultra Gen 3 offers sufficient margin for homes of over 200 square metres in a single session. The Roborock, with 180 minutes, covers medium-sized areas without problems. The absence of data on the Mova makes direct comparison difficult, although the 5,200 mAh battery suggests similar performance.
Smart Functions
The Mova P50 Ultra overcomes obstacles up to 22 mm in height, whilst the Dreame and the Roborock reach 20 mm. A small difference that can facilitate passage over certain thresholds or thick cables in the case of the Mova.
All three models are compatible with external voice assistants such as Alexa or Google Home, but none integrates its own assistant. Nor do they incorporate a robotic arm for additional tasks.
Multifunctional Cleaning Base Station
All three base stations perform auto-emptying of the dust bin, mop washing with hot water and drying with hot air. The Dreame L10s Ultra Gen 3 and the Mova P50 Ultra incorporate third-generation washing tray self-cleaning, a function that the Roborock Qrevo S5V does not offer. This system reduces manual maintenance by automatically cleaning the area where the mops are washed.
The Dreame includes an integrated detergent tank, the Mova offers it as optional (separate purchase) and the Roborock does not have this possibility. The detergent is dispensed during mop washing, improving hygiene without user intervention.
The plumbing connection kit is available for the Dreame, although it is also purchased separately. Neither the Mova nor the Roborock offer this option. Plumbing connection allows automatic refilling of clean water and emptying of dirty water, although it requires installation and is not usually essential in most homes.
The dust bag reaches 3.2 litres on Dreame and Mova, compared to 2.7 litres on the Roborock. Greater capacity means less frequent emptying. The clean water tank is 4.5 litres on the Dreame, 4 litres on Mova and Roborock. The dirty water tank measures 4 litres on the Dreame and 3.5 litres on the other two. These differences can be noticeable in large homes with prolonged mopping sessions.
Dimensions
The Dreame L10s Ultra Gen 3 and the Mova P50 Ultra measure 350 mm in diameter and 97 mm in height. The Roborock Qrevo S5V reaches 353 mm in diameter and 96.5 mm in height. Minimal differences that do not affect the ability to pass under low furniture, although all three are around the 10 cm clearance limit.
The robot's tanks are practically identical: 300 ml dust on Dreame and Mova, 330 ml on Roborock; 80 ml water on all three.
The base stations present more notable variations. The Dreame measures 340 mm wide, 590 mm high and 457 mm deep. The Mova is wider (420 mm) and less tall (470 mm), with 458 mm depth. The Roborock occupies 340 mm wide, 521 mm high and 487 mm deep. It is advisable to measure the available space before deciding, especially if one plans to position the base station in a corner or under furniture.
Real-World User Experience
For homes with pets, the Dreame L10s Ultra Gen 3 combines the highest suction power (25,000 Pa) with specific animal recognition and SimpliCut anti-tangle brush. The Mova P50 Ultra offers intermediate power (19,000 Pa) and anti-tangle side brush, although without pet detection. The Roborock Qrevo S5V, with 12,000 Pa and DuoDivide brush, may prove sufficient in homes with less hair accumulation.
In large homes, the 231-minute runtime of the Dreame and the larger capacity tanks (4.5 litres clean water, 4 litres dirty water, 3.2-litre bag) make a difference compared to the Roborock. The Mova, with tanks similar to the Dreame but without runtime data, remains in an intermediate position.
If minimal maintenance is valued, the third-generation tray self-cleaning on Dreame and Mova reduces manual intervention. The integrated detergent tank on the Dreame adds convenience, whilst on the Mova it must be purchased separately and the Roborock does not include it.
The Mova P50 Ultra stands out in flexibility: liftable main brush, liftable side brush and ability to overcome 22 mm height. This may be of interest in homes with mixed floors or irregular thresholds. Curtain detection also adds an extra point in homes with long textiles that touch the floor.
Conclusion: Which to Choose?
Choose the Dreame L10s Ultra Gen 3 if you seek the highest available suction power (25,000 Pa), extended runtime (231 minutes), pet recognition and integrated detergent tank. The third-generation tray self-cleaning and the more generous tanks (4.5 litres clean water, 4 litres dirty water) make it the most complete option for large homes with animals. The plumbing connection kit, although optional, adds an extra level of automation for those wishing to install it.
Choose the Mova P50 Ultra if you value the ability to raise both the main brush and the side brush during mopping, a function exclusive to this model. With 19,000 Pa of power, anti-tangle side brush and curtain detection, it proves balanced for medium-sized areas. The third-generation tray self-cleaning is included, although the detergent tank must be purchased separately. The wider (420 mm) and less tall (470 mm) base station may fit better in certain spaces.
Choose the Roborock Qrevo S5V if you prioritise the brand's reputation and the DuoDivide anti-tangle brush, although the 12,000 Pa power is the lowest of the trio. With 180 minutes of runtime and slightly tighter tanks (4 litres clean water, 3.5 litres dirty water, 2.7-litre bag), it adapts well to medium-sized flats without pets. The absence of tray self-cleaning and detergent tank means somewhat more manual maintenance, but the overall package remains robust and reliable.
