Introduction
Mova, Dreame's second brand, presents three robot vacuum models with multifunction base that share many features, but with technical differences worth analysing. The Mova E30 Ultra arrived in 2024 as a competitive option, whilst the Mova E40 Ultra and Mova P50 Pro Ultra are 2025 launches incorporating significant improvements.
All three robots feature a multifunction base that washes and dries the mops, which makes the difference between mediocre mopping and truly effective mopping. However, the P50 Pro Ultra clearly positions itself as the premium model in the range, with advanced visual recognition technology and intelligent functions that the other two don't incorporate.
These are devices designed for homes seeking complete cleaning automation, especially useful for households with pets and users who value minimal maintenance thanks to their multifunction bases.
Power and Suction
The most obvious difference between the Mova E30 Ultra and its bigger siblings is in suction power. With 7,000 Pa, the E30 Ultra offers sufficient capacity for daily cleaning, but falls well short of the 19,000 Pa developed by both the E40 Ultra and P50 Pro Ultra. This difference is especially noticeable on carpets and when there's persistent dirt accumulation.
The main brush also varies. Whilst the E30 Ultra and E40 Ultra mount a Simplicity brush, the P50 Pro Ultra incorporates the TriCut 3.0 system, which combines bristles with blades to cut tangled hair. This considerably reduces maintenance in homes with pets.
The P50 Pro Ultra also adds automatic lifting of the main brush during mopping, preventing it from getting wet and dragging less dirt onto damp surfaces. This function isn't present on the other two models.
As for the side brush, the E30 Ultra lacks an anti-tangle system, whilst the E40 Ultra and P50 Pro Ultra do incorporate it. The P50 Pro Ultra goes a step further with an extendable side brush to better reach corners and automatic lifting during mopping, features absent on the E30 and E40 models.
Mopping
All three devices use a dual rotating mop system, but the differences in functionality are notable. The Mova E30 Ultra doesn't feature mop extension, which limits its ability to mop edges and corners. The E40 Ultra and P50 Pro Ultra do incorporate mop extension with Roboswing movement, that characteristic wiggle that allows the mop to get under furniture and overhangs.
Mop lifting is identical on all three models: 10.5 mm, sufficient to protect short-pile carpets during mopping. All three mop with cold water.
The P50 Pro Ultra stands out with automatic mop removal at the base, allowing vacuum-only sessions without the mops touching the floor. Neither the E30 Ultra nor the E40 Ultra offer this possibility.
Dirt detection is another function exclusive to the P50 Pro Ultra. This model recognises stains on the floor and adapts mopping, as well as detecting when the mops are dirty to return and wash them. In practice, this means more intelligent mopping that automatically goes over the most challenging areas.
Navigation System
All three robots mount a LiDAR turret for mapping and navigation, along with a front 3D laser sensor to avoid obstacles. All recognise pets, which allows creating intelligent cleaning routines around their resting areas.
The big difference is made by the P50 Pro Ultra with its dual AI camera, capable of recognising up to 160 different obstacles. This visual technology adds an extra layer of precision that the other two models don't have, as they rely solely on the laser sensor.
The P50 Pro Ultra also incorporates curtain detection to avoid tangles, night vision LED for mapping in low-light conditions, and remote camera access. These functions aren't available on the E30 Ultra or E40 Ultra.
All three models include CleanGenius intelligent cleaning, but only the P50 Pro Ultra adds AI stain recognition, which allows automatically adjusting cleaning intensity according to the type of dirt detected.
Autonomy and Battery
Battery capacity is identical on all three robots: 5,200 mAh. However, we only know the autonomy of the E40 Ultra and P50 Pro Ultra, which offer 210 minutes of continuous operation. This figure is more than sufficient for medium-to-large sized homes.
The E30 Ultra doesn't specify autonomy in minutes, although as it mounts the same battery and develops less suction power, it's reasonable to expect similar or even longer duration.
Smart Functions
All three models can overcome obstacles of considerable height: the E30 Ultra and E40 Ultra clear 20 mm, whilst the P50 Pro Ultra reaches 22 mm. This allows easily navigating thick carpets, expansion joints or small level changes between rooms.
The P50 Pro Ultra incorporates its own voice assistant, a function that allows interacting directly with the robot without needing to use the app or external assistants. All three models are compatible with Alexa and Google Home, but having an integrated assistant adds convenience in day-to-day use.
Multifunction Cleaning Base
All three bases perform auto-emptying of the dust container, mop washing with hot water and drying with hot air. The dust bag has a capacity of 3.2 litres in all cases, sufficient for several weeks without intervention.
The water tanks are practically identical: the E30 Ultra and E40 Ultra have 4.5 litres of clean water and 4 litres of dirty water. The P50 Pro Ultra slightly adjusts these capacities to 4 litres of clean water and 3.5 litres of dirty water, a minimal difference in real use.
Self-cleaning of the washing tray is exclusive to the P50 Pro Ultra, which incorporates a third-generation system to keep the base more hygienic without manual intervention. The other two models require periodic manual cleaning of this area.
The E40 Ultra offers a detergent tank as an optional extra that must be purchased separately, whilst the P50 Pro Ultra includes it as standard. The E30 Ultra doesn't contemplate this possibility. Although not essential, detergent improves mopping results on very dirty floors.
None of the three models include plumbing connection or an optional kit for it.
Dimensions
The diameter is identical on all three robots: 350 mm. Height marks an important difference: the E30 Ultra and E40 Ultra measure 97 mm, whilst the P50 Pro Ultra reaches 103.8 mm. Those almost 7 mm extra can determine whether the robot passes under certain low furniture, sofas or beds with little clearance.
The bases also differ. The E30 Ultra and E40 Ultra share dimensions: 340 mm wide, 590.5 mm tall and 456.7 mm deep. The P50 Pro Ultra has a wider base (420 mm) but notably less tall (470 mm), with a similar depth of 458 mm. This flatter base can be more visually discreet and fit better in certain spaces.
Real-World Experience
For medium-sized homes without pets and with moderate dirt, the Mova E30 Ultra performs perfectly. Its 7,000 Pa of suction is sufficient for daily cleaning, and the multifunction base guarantees good mopping. The absence of mop extension is noticeable at edges, but isn't critical.
The E40 Ultra improves power up to 19,000 Pa, which is appreciated on carpets and homes with pets. Mop extension with Roboswing and the anti-tangle side brush make a difference in day-to-day use. It's a balanced option for those seeking more features without jumping to the premium model.
The P50 Pro Ultra is aimed at demanding users who want maximum automation. The dual AI camera, recognition of 160 obstacles, dirt detection and automatic mop removal allow a practically autonomous experience. The TriCut 3.0 brush reduces maintenance in homes with pets, and the built-in voice assistant adds convenience.
The height of the P50 Pro Ultra can be a limiting factor in homes with very low furniture. If you need the robot to pass under beds or sofas with less than 11 cm clearance, it's worth measuring carefully before deciding.
