Introduction

Dreame has launched three robot vacuum models that share a surname but with very marked technical differences. The Dreame L50 Ultra AE and the Dreame L50s Pro Ultra arrived in 2026, whilst the Dreame Matrix10 Ultra appeared in 2025. All three include a complete multifunction base with auto-emptying, mop washing and drying, which places them in the high-end market segment.

These devices are designed for users seeking total automation in home cleaning. The differences between them are not minor: they affect suction power, artificial intelligence, detection systems and even battery capacity. Choosing between one or another will depend on the size of the home, the presence of pets and the level of autonomy required.

Power and Suction

Suction power marks a first difference. The Dreame L50 Ultra AE offers 28,000 Pa, a high figure but which falls short of the 30,000 Pa of the Dreame L50s Pro Ultra and the Dreame Matrix10 Ultra. In practice, those 2,000 Pa of difference can be noticeable on medium or long pile carpets, where the capacity to extract embedded dirt improves with greater power.

The brushing system also varies. The L50 Ultra AE mounts the TriCut 3.0 brush, which combines bristles with blades to cut tangled hair. The L50s Pro Ultra and the Matrix10 Ultra use a dual brush system, more effective at preventing tangles in homes with pets. All three models include an extendable and anti-tangle side brush, but only the L50s Pro Ultra and the Matrix10 Ultra allow the side brush to be raised during mopping, which prevents the mop from getting dirty with dragged hair.

All raise the main brush when mopping, a useful function to avoid dirtying the mops with freshly vacuumed dust.

Mopping

All three robots use two rotating mops with edge extension and Roboswing movement, which allows the mops to slightly reach under furniture or ledges. Mop lifting reaches 10.5 mm in all cases, sufficient to pass over thin carpets without wetting them.

The most relevant difference is in mopping with hot water. The Dreame Matrix10 Ultra mops the floor with hot water, whilst the L50 Ultra AE and the L50s Pro Ultra use cold water. Hot water improves the dissolution of grease and adhered stains, especially in kitchens or high-traffic areas.

The L50 Ultra AE does not include dirt detection on mops or on the floor, which means it does not automatically adjust mopping intensity nor does it go over dirtier areas again. The L50s Pro Ultra and the Matrix10 Ultra do incorporate both functions, which allows for more intelligent mopping adapted to the real needs of each area.

All three allow the mops to be automatically removed at the base when you only want to vacuum, avoiding having to remove them manually.

Navigation System

Here the differences are very marked. The Dreame L50 Ultra AE mounts a LiDAR turret but does not include an AI camera. This limits its ability to recognise specific objects such as pets, cables or curtains. The L50s Pro Ultra and the Matrix10 Ultra integrate dual RGB cameras, which allows them to identify up to 220 and 240 obstacles respectively.

The L50 Ultra AE does not feature night vision LED or remote camera access, functions that are present in the other two models. The ability to access the camera from the mobile allows you to monitor the house or check on pets whilst the robot cleans.

The Matrix10 Ultra incorporates retractable LiDAR, which reduces its total height and facilitates access under low furniture. All three have a front 3D laser sensor to avoid obstacles, but only the L50s Pro Ultra and the Matrix10 Ultra have specific recognition of pets and curtains.

The Matrix10 Ultra uses the AI Sage 15.0 algorithm, although the processor or algorithm of the other two models is not specified. Intelligent cleaning with AI CleanGenius is available on the L50s Pro Ultra and the Matrix10 Ultra, allowing automatic adjustments according to the type of floor and detected dirt.

Autonomy and Battery

The Dreame Matrix10 Ultra stands out with a 6,400 mAh battery and a declared autonomy of 260 minutes. This capacity is superior to that of the other two models, which mount 5,200 mAh batteries without specified autonomy. In large homes, the difference is noticeable: the Matrix10 Ultra can complete cleaning of larger surface areas without needing to return to charge mid-cycle.

The robot's dust bin also varies. The Matrix10 Ultra offers 310 ml, compared to the 250 ml of the L50 Ultra AE and the L50s Pro Ultra. For homes with pets or of large size, those additional 60 ml can make the difference between completing the cleaning or having to empty the bin before time.

Intelligent Functions

All three models can overcome obstacles, although with differences. The L50 Ultra AE overcomes steps of up to 20 mm, whilst the L50s Pro Ultra and the Matrix10 Ultra can handle simple steps without specifying exact height, although it is assumed to be similar or superior.

The L50 Ultra AE does not include its own voice assistant, although it is compatible with Alexa and Google Home. The L50s Pro Ultra and the Matrix10 Ultra incorporate their own voice assistant in addition to external compatibility, which adds convenience for giving direct commands without going through third-party applications.

Multifunction Cleaning Base

All three bases perform auto-emptying, mop washing with hot water and drying with hot air. Self-cleaning of the washing tray is present in all models, although the Matrix10 Ultra uses a 3.5th generation system compared to the 3rd generation of the other two.

The detergent tank is included in all three, but the Matrix10 Ultra offers a triple tank, which allows different products to be used according to the type of floor or level of dirt. This function is useful in homes with various types of flooring.

The Dreame Matrix10 Ultra is the only one with automatic mop changing, including 3 pairs of replacements. This allows the robot to change the mops when it detects they are very dirty, always maintaining optimal mopping without manual intervention.

The dust bag capacity is 3.2 litres in all three cases. The clean water tank of the Matrix10 Ultra reaches 5.5 litres, one litre more than the 4.5 litres of the L50 Ultra AE and the L50s Pro Ultra. The dirty water tank is 4 litres in all. More clean water capacity means fewer manual refills in large homes.

All three models offer an optional plumbing connection kit that is purchased separately, but none comes with the connection integrated from the factory.

Dimensions

The diameter is identical in all three: 350 mm. The height varies notably. The Matrix10 Ultra measures 89 mm, the L50 Ultra AE reaches 97 mm and the L50s Pro Ultra reaches 103.8 mm. Those 14.8 mm of difference between the lowest and the highest can determine whether the robot passes or not under certain furniture, sofas or beds.

The bases of the L50 Ultra AE and the L50s Pro Ultra measure 340 mm in width, whilst that of the Matrix10 Ultra reaches 416 mm. This can influence the available space to locate the base, especially in homes with little margin.

Real-world experience

For large homes, the Matrix10 Ultra offers the best combination: greater battery, more clean water capacity and enlarged dust bin. Its reduced height allows it to access under more furniture, and the automatic mop changing ensures always optimal mopping without intervention.

In homes with pets, the L50s Pro Ultra and the Matrix10 Ultra are the most suitable options. The dual brush system reduces tangles and specific pet detection avoids accidents. The L50 Ultra AE, with TriCut 3.0 brush, also works well but without the level of automation in detection.

If the budget is tight and you do not need an AI camera or advanced dirt detection, the L50 Ultra AE fulfils the basic functions of a high-end robot: auto-emptying, mop washing and drying with hot water and air, and high suction power.

The hot water for mopping the floor of the Matrix10 Ultra makes a difference in kitchens or areas with greasy stains. For parquet or wooden floors, where hot water can be counterproductive, all three models allow the mop humidity to be adjusted.

Conclusion: Which one to choose?

Choose the Dreame L50 Ultra AE if you are looking for a robot vacuum with complete multifunction base, good suction power and you do not need advanced AI functions such as pet recognition or remote camera access. It is a solid option for medium-sized homes without pets or with few carpets.

Choose the Dreame L50s Pro Ultra if you value artificial intelligence to recognise obstacles, pets and curtains, and you want remote camera access. Its power of 30,000 Pa and dirt detection on mops and floor make it a balanced option for homes with pets and more demanding cleaning needs.

Choose the Dreame Matrix10 Ultra if you have a large home, need maximum autonomy and are looking for the most complete robot in this Dreame robot vacuum comparison. Its 6,400 mAh battery, automatic mop changing, hot water for mopping the floor and its reduced height position it as the best robot vacuum of the three for users who prioritise total automation and minimum maintenance.
