Introduction
The Dreame L50 Pro Ultra, the Dreame L50s Pro Ultra and the Mova P50 Pro Ultra represent three robot vacuum proposals with multifunctional base within the Dreame family. Whilst the L50 Pro Ultra arrived in 2025, the L50s Pro Ultra did so in 2026, and the Mova P50 Pro Ultra was also launched in 2025. All three share a similar philosophy: high-end robots with powerful suction capacity, mopping with rotating mops and bases that take care of washing and drying the mops automatically.
These models are designed for those seeking total automation in home cleaning. The differences between them, although subtle in some aspects, can determine the choice depending on the type of dwelling, the presence of pets or the need to pass under low furniture.
Power and Suction
Suction power is where the first significant difference appears. The Dreame L50s Pro Ultra leads with 30,000 Pa, a figure that places it amongst the most powerful robots on the market. This capacity is especially useful on medium or long pile carpets, where the extra suction makes the difference in extracting embedded dust. The L50 Pro Ultra offers 19,500 Pa, whilst the Mova P50 Pro Ultra remains at 19,000 Pa. In practice, these figures are still high and sufficient for most homes, although those living with pets that shed a lot of hair or have demanding carpets will notice the advantage of the L50s Pro Ultra.
As for the brushing system, the two Dreame models mount the dual HyperStream brush, a design with two brushes anchored at one end that considerably reduces hair tangles. The Mova P50 Pro Ultra opts for the TriCut 3.0, which combines bristles with blades to cut tangled hairs. Both systems work well with pets, although the HyperStream has a reputation for requiring less manual maintenance.
All three robots lift the main brush during mopping and feature an extendable side brush to better reach corners. This side brush also lifts during mopping, preventing it from interfering with the mops. All include anti-tangle technology on the side brush, a detail that helps maintain sweeping efficiency at the edges.
Mopping
The mopping system is practically identical on all three models. All use two rotating mops that extend towards the edges thanks to the Roboswing system, a lateral movement that allows the robot to get the mops under overhangs and furniture. Mop lifting reaches 10.5 mm in all three cases, sufficient to avoid wetting medium-thickness carpets.
The bases wash the mops with hot water, which improves the removal of grease and adhered dirt. After cleaning, they dry them with hot air to prevent bad odours and bacterial proliferation. All three models automatically detach the mops at the base when only vacuuming is desired, a convenient function that avoids dragging dry mops across the floor.
Dirt detection works on two levels: on the mops themselves and on the floor. When the robot detects that the mops are dirty, it returns to the base to wash them. If it detects a particularly dirty area on the floor, it scrubs that area more intensively. This intelligent behaviour guarantees consistent mopping without manual intervention.
Navigation System
Here we find interesting nuances. The Dreame L50 Pro Ultra incorporates a retractable LiDAR, whilst the L50s Pro Ultra and the Mova P50 Pro Ultra maintain a conventional LiDAR turret. The retractable system of the L50 Pro Ultra contributes to its lower height, but all three robots navigate with similar precision thanks to the laser.
All three are equipped with dual camera with artificial intelligence and front 3D laser sensor to avoid obstacles. The difference lies in the number of objects they recognise: the Dreame L50s Pro Ultra identifies up to 220 types of obstacles, the L50 Pro Ultra reaches 180 and the Mova P50 Pro Ultra remains at 160. In dwellings with many objects on the floor, cables or toys, this broader recognition capacity can translate into fewer manual interventions.
All recognise pets and curtains, adjusting their behaviour so as not to disturb animals or get tangled with hanging fabrics. Remote access to the camera allows monitoring the home from the mobile, and all three include LED for night vision, useful if the robot cleans at night or in dark rooms.
Autonomy and Battery
The Dreame L50 Pro Ultra stands out with a 6,400 mAh battery that provides 200 minutes of autonomy. This capacity is ideal for large dwellings where the robot needs to complete long cycles without recharging. The Dreame L50s Pro Ultra and the Mova P50 Pro Ultra are equipped with 5,200 mAh batteries. The Mova declares 210 minutes of autonomy, whilst the L50s Pro Ultra does not specify this data in the table.
In practice, the battery difference matters more on large surfaces. For flats of up to 120-150 m², any of the three has sufficient autonomy. In larger houses, the L50 Pro Ultra offers greater peace of mind to complete cleaning in a single run.
Intelligent Functions
All three robots overcome simple steps, although with slight variations. The L50 Pro Ultra and the L50s Pro Ultra negotiate simple steps without specifying exact height, whilst the Mova P50 Pro Ultra declares 22 mm. This capability allows the robot to move between rooms with small level differences or climb onto thick carpets without getting stuck.
All include their own voice assistant in addition to compatibility with Alexa and Google Home. This allows giving orders directly to the robot or integrating it into smart home routines. The CleanGenius system, present on all three models, automatically adjusts suction power and water flow according to the type of floor and the level of dirt detected.
Multifunctional Cleaning Base
All three bases perform the same functions: auto-emptying of the dust container, washing mops with hot water, drying with hot air and self-cleaning of the third-generation washing tray. All have a 3.2-litre dust bag, sufficient capacity for several weeks without changing it.
The clean water tanks are 4.5 litres on the two Dreame models and 4 litres on the Mova. Dirty water is collected in 4-litre tanks (Dreame) and 3.5 litres (Mova). These differences are minimal in day-to-day use, although in large dwellings with a lot of mopping, the larger Dreame tanks may require fewer emptyings.
The two Dreame models offer an optional kit to connect the base to water plumbing, avoiding manually filling and emptying tanks. This kit is purchased separately and does not come as standard. The Mova P50 Pro Ultra does not have this option. None of the three includes UV disinfection or automatic mop changing.
Dimensions
The Dreame L50 Pro Ultra measures 89 mm in height, making it the lowest option of the three. This allows it to slip under furniture, beds or sofas where the other two cannot reach. The Dreame L50s Pro Ultra and the Mova P50 Pro Ultra reach 103.8 mm, a difference of almost 15 mm that can be decisive depending on each home's furniture. All three have a 350 mm diameter.
The bases also differ in size. The two Dreame bases measure 340 mm wide, 590 mm high and approximately 457 mm deep. The Mova P50 Pro Ultra base is wider (420 mm) but less tall (470 mm), occupying a different profile. It is advisable to measure the available space before deciding, especially if the base goes in a cupboard or specific recess.
Real-world experience
For large dwellings, the Dreame L50 Pro Ultra offers the best combination of autonomy and internal dust container capacity (395 ml compared to 250 ml and 300 ml). This reduces interruptions during cleaning and trips to the base to empty.
If the priority is to pass under low furniture, the L50 Pro Ultra is again the clear choice thanks to its 89 mm height. Those with beds or sofas with little separation from the floor will appreciate this advantage.
In homes with pets, all three work well, but the Dreame L50s Pro Ultra provides the greatest suction power (30,000 Pa) and the greatest obstacle recognition (220), which helps deal with scattered hairs and objects thrown by animals. The dual HyperStream brush of the Dreame models also facilitates maintenance.
For thick carpets or particularly demanding floors, the L50s Pro Ultra makes a difference with its superior power. On hard floors and parquet, any of the three offers excellent results thanks to the mopping system with rotating mops and washing with hot water.
Conclusion: Which to choose?
Choose the Dreame L50 Pro Ultra if you have a large dwelling that requires a lot of autonomy, you need the robot to pass under low furniture or you prefer a larger internal dust container that reduces trips to the base. Its 89 mm height and its 6,400 mAh battery make it the most versatile option for houses with tight furniture and extensive surfaces.
Choose the Dreame L50s Pro Ultra if you seek the maximum suction power on the market (30,000 Pa) and the most advanced obstacle recognition (220 objects). It is ideal for homes with very hairy pets, demanding carpets or many objects on the floor that require precise navigation. Its more recent launch may also bring software improvements.
Choose the Mova P50 Pro Ultra if you prefer a robot from Dreame's second brand with very similar features at a potentially more competitive price. It offers good autonomy (210 minutes), complete mopping system and recognition of 160 obstacles. The wider but less tall base may fit better in certain spaces. Bear in mind that it does not have an optional kit for connection to plumbing.
