Introduction
The Dreame L10s Ultra Gen 3 and the Roborock Qrevo Edge 2 represent two high-end propositions launched just six months apart. The former arrived in November 2025, whilst the latter was introduced in May 2026. We're looking at complete units with multifunctional bases that not only vacuum, but also mop, wash their own mops and self-empty. They share the same suction power of 25,000 Pa and a 5,200 mAh battery, but differ notably in their technological approach and how they execute cleaning.
The Dreame model opts for a third-generation self-cleaning system and greater capacity in its tanks, whilst the Roborock Qrevo Edge 2 integrates advanced artificial intelligence with a camera, recognition of up to 280 obstacles and a more compact design. These differences mark distinct usage profiles that are worth analysing in detail.
Power and Suction
Both units reach 25,000 Pa of suction power, a figure that guarantees solid results on both hard floors and medium-thickness carpets. The real difference lies in how they manage brushing.
The Roborock Qrevo Edge 2 features the DuoDivide Antienredos system, which pushes hair towards the centre to facilitate suction and minimise tangles. This design is particularly useful in homes with pets or people with long hair. Additionally, the side brush also features anti-tangle technology, something the Dreame doesn't offer. The Qrevo Edge 2's main brush lifts during mopping, preventing freshly vacuumed hair from falling back onto the wet floor.
The Dreame L10s Ultra Gen 3 uses a traditional simple brush, without specific anti-tangle features. This means greater need for manual maintenance if you live with animals. However, the side brush is extendable on both models, which improves corner cleaning.
In practice, the Roborock offers clear advantages for those looking to reduce main brush maintenance.
Mopping
Here the differences become more pronounced. Both robots mop with two rotating mops and feature edge extension, although the Dreame adds the Roboswing system, which performs an oscillating movement to slightly insert the mop under furniture and ledges.
The Roborock Qrevo Edge 2 lifts the mops up to 12 mm, whilst the Dreame reaches 10.5 mm. Even more relevant: the Roborock mops with warm water and washes the mops at the base with hot water, which improves the removal of grease and stubborn stains. The Dreame works with cold water both for mopping and washing mops.
The Qrevo Edge 2 incorporates dirt detection on both the mops and the floor, adjusting mopping intensity and re-washing areas that need it. It also automatically removes the mops at the base when you only want to vacuum, preventing them from getting wet unnecessarily. The Dreame doesn't include any of these functions.
The L10s Ultra Gen 3 compensates with an integrated detergent tank in the base, which dispenses product during mop washing. The Roborock doesn't have this option, although its hot water washing may prove more effective in many cases.
Navigation System
Navigation is perhaps where these robots differ most. The Roborock Qrevo Edge 2 features a retractable LiDAR system combined with an AI camera, front 3D laser sensor and night vision LED. It recognises up to 280 different obstacles, detects curtains to avoid tangling, identifies stains with AI and allows remote camera access from your mobile. Its SmartPlan 3.0 algorithm optimises routes and cleaning strategies according to the type of dirt detected.
The Dreame L10s Ultra Gen 3 uses a traditional 3D LiDAR turret with front 3D laser sensor, but without a camera. It recognises pets and avoids basic obstacles, and its CleanGenius system applies some intelligence to cleaning, although without the level of detail of the Roborock. It doesn't offer remote camera access or night LED, simply because it has no camera.
For homes with many objects on the floor, cables, toys or curious pets, the Roborock provides greater precision and adaptability. The Dreame performs well in more orderly environments.
Autonomy and Battery
Despite sharing a 5,200 mAh battery, the Dreame L10s Ultra Gen 3 offers 231 minutes of autonomy compared to the Roborock Qrevo Edge 2's 188. This difference of almost 45 minutes can be explained by the higher consumption of the Roborock's AI system and camera, in addition to its hot water.
In large homes, those extra minutes from the Dreame can make the difference between completing cleaning in a single run or requiring an intermediate recharge. For medium or small-sized flats, both units have autonomy to spare.
Smart Functions
Both robots overcome obstacles up to 20 mm, sufficient to navigate most thresholds and thick carpets without problem. Neither incorporates a robotic arm.
The Roborock Qrevo Edge 2 includes its own voice assistant, in addition to compatibility with Alexa and Google Home. The Dreame only supports external assistants. This can be convenient if you prefer to interact directly with the robot without going through third-party applications.
Multifunctional Cleaning Base
Both bases self-empty the dust bin, wash and dry the mops with hot air. The difference lies in the details.
The Dreame L10s Ultra Gen 3 boasts a third-generation tray self-cleaning system, whilst the Roborock features version 2.0. The Dreame also offers greater capacity: 3.2-litre dust bag compared to 2.7 litres, 4.5-litre clean water tank compared to 4 litres, and 4-litre dirty water tank compared to 3.5 litres. Additionally, it includes a detergent tank and an optional kit for plumbing connection, which is purchased separately.
The Roborock washes the mops with hot water, which compensates in effectiveness what it loses in tank capacity. For those who don't want to refill tanks frequently, the Dreame wins. For those who prioritise deeper washing, the Roborock is the option.
Dimensions
The Roborock Qrevo Edge 2 measures 79.8 mm in height, which allows it to slip under low furniture more easily than the Dreame L10s Ultra Gen 3, which reaches 97 mm. If you have sofas or beds with little clearance, this difference is decisive.
In diameter there's barely any variation: 352 mm for the Roborock compared to 350 mm for the Dreame. Weight doesn't differ significantly either.
The bases have similar dimensions in width (340 mm both), but the Dreame is taller (590 mm compared to 521 mm) and less deep (457 mm compared to 487 mm). It's advisable to measure the available space before deciding.
Real-World Usage Experience
In large houses, the Dreame L10s Ultra Gen 3 offers greater autonomy and larger tanks, which reduces interruptions. Its detergent tank adds convenience if you prefer the base to manage the cleaning product automatically. The plumbing connection kit may be interesting for those seeking total automation, although it must be purchased separately.
For homes with pets, the Roborock Qrevo Edge 2 is more practical thanks to its DuoDivide anti-tangle brush and also anti-tangle side brush. Maintenance is notably reduced. Its AI camera and ability to recognise 280 obstacles provides peace of mind if there are toys, cables or curtains.
The Roborock mops better thanks to warm water, hot water mop washing and dirt detection that adjusts mopping intensity. Automatic mop removal also adds points for convenience.
The Dreame stands out in homes where robot height matters less and tank capacity and autonomy are valued more. Its 97 mm height limits access under some furniture, whilst the Roborock, at 79.8 mm, slips into tighter spaces.
Conclusion: Which to Choose?
Choose the Dreame L10s Ultra Gen 3 if: You live in a large house and value the extended autonomy of 231 minutes. You prefer higher capacity tanks to reduce the frequency of filling and emptying. You're interested in the integrated detergent tank and consider the optional plumbing connection kit useful. You don't need a camera or advanced AI functions, and your furniture allows passage of a 97 mm tall robot.
Choose the Roborock Qrevo Edge 2 if: You live with pets or long hair and want to minimise brush tangles. You're looking for the best possible mopping with warm water, hot water mop washing and intelligent dirt detection. You value advanced navigation with AI camera, recognition of 280 obstacles, remote access and night LED. You need the robot to pass under low furniture thanks to its 79.8 mm height. You prefer the mops to be automatically removed when only vacuuming.
For good value for money with good autonomy, the Dreame performs well. For maximum intelligence, better mopping and lower maintenance, the Roborock justifies its investment.
