Introduction
The robot vacuum market with multifunction base stations continues to evolve with increasingly refined offerings. On this occasion, we analyse three models launched in 2025 that share a manufacturer—Mova is Dreame's second brand—but present significant technical differences. The Mova E40 Ultra and the Mova P50 Ultra represent two options within the same family, whilst the Dreame L10s Ultra Gen 3, introduced in November 2025, brings some improvements characteristic of the main brand.
All three units incorporate a multifunction base station with auto-empty, mop washing and drying, positioning them in the mid-to-high segment. They are designed for homes seeking cleaning autonomy without sacrificing effective mopping. The main differences are concentrated in suction power, brush design and base station configuration.
Power and Suction
Suction power marks a clear difference. The Dreame L10s Ultra Gen 3 offers 25,000 Pa, a figure that notably improves upon the 19,000 Pa of the Mova E40 Ultra and P50 Ultra. In practice, this translates to greater capacity for extracting embedded dust from carpets or tile joints. For homes with medium or long pile carpets, the difference can be especially noticeable.
All three models feature a Hyperstream-type main brush, designed to reduce hair tangles. This is a system with two brushes anchored at one end that facilitates the passage of hair towards the suction inlet without forming knots. This design is particularly useful in households with pets or people with long hair.
The Mova P50 Ultra incorporates automatic main brush lifting during mopping, something that neither the E40 Ultra nor the Dreame L10s Ultra Gen 3 have. This allows the robot to mop without dragging the brush across the wet floor, improving hygiene and preventing it from getting unnecessarily dirty.
As for the side brush, the Mova E40 Ultra and P50 Ultra feature an anti-tangle version, whilst the Dreame L10s Ultra Gen 3 does not include it. However, the Dreame and P50 Ultra do have an extendable side brush, which helps sweep corners better. The E40 Ultra lacks this function. The P50 Ultra is the only one that also lifts the side brush during mopping, preventing it from interfering with the mops.
Mopping
All three robots use a two-rotating-mop system with edge extension and Roboswing movement, which allows the mops to reach slightly under furniture overhangs. Mop lifting reaches 10.5 mm in all cases, sufficient to pass over thin carpets without wetting them.
Floor mopping is carried out with cold water on all three models. The base stations wash the mops with hot water and dry them with hot air, which aids in eliminating bacteria and unpleasant odours. None of the three automatically removes the mops at the base station to vacuum without mopping, nor do they detect dirt on the mops or floor to adjust cleaning intensity.
The most relevant difference in this section lies in the washing tray self-cleaning. The Dreame L10s Ultra Gen 3 incorporates third-generation self-cleaning, the same as the Mova P50 Ultra. The Mova E40 Ultra does not include this function, which implies greater manual intervention to maintain the base station in optimal condition.
Navigation System
All models employ a LiDAR turret to map the home and a front 3D laser sensor to detect obstacles. None feature an AI camera, front LED for night vision or remote camera access.
The difference lies in specific element recognition. The Mova E40 Ultra and Dreame L10s Ultra Gen 3 recognise pets, which can be useful for avoiding areas where they rest or for scheduling cleaning when they are not present. The Mova P50 Ultra, on the other hand, detects curtains and adjusts its behaviour to avoid getting tangled with them, but does not recognise pets.
All three integrate intelligent cleaning with CleanGenius, a system that optimises routes and adjusts cleaning parameters according to floor type and detected dirt level. However, none incorporate AI stain recognition to automatically re-clean specific areas.
Autonomy and Battery
Battery capacity is identical: 5,200 mAh across all three units. The declared autonomy for the Mova E40 Ultra is 210 minutes, whilst the Dreame L10s Ultra Gen 3 reaches 231 minutes. For the Mova P50 Ultra, this data is not specified.
The 21-minute difference between the E40 Ultra and Dreame L10s Ultra Gen 3 can be explained by optimisations in energy management or motor efficiency. In medium-sized homes, this difference is usually not decisive, but in large areas it can make the difference between completing cleaning in a single run or requiring an intermediate recharge.
Smart Functions
The Mova P50 Ultra overcomes obstacles up to 22 mm, whilst the E40 Ultra and Dreame L10s Ultra Gen 3 reach 20 mm. Two millimetres may seem insignificant, but in practice they allow for easier crossing of certain door profiles or level changes between rooms.
None of the three models incorporate a robotic arm or proprietary voice assistant. All are compatible with external assistants such as Alexa or Google Home, allowing them to be integrated into home automation routines without complications.
Multifunction Cleaning Base Station
All three base stations perform auto-emptying of the dust container, mop washing with hot water and drying with hot air. The dust bag has a capacity of 3.2 litres in all cases, sufficient for several weeks without intervention.
The clean water tank is 4.5 litres on the Mova E40 Ultra and Dreame L10s Ultra Gen 3, and 4 litres on the P50 Ultra. The dirty water tank reaches 4 litres on the first two and 3.5 litres on the P50 Ultra. These differences are minimal and barely affect mopping autonomy in most homes.
The Dreame L10s Ultra Gen 3 includes a detergent tank as standard, whilst on the Mova E40 Ultra and P50 Ultra it is optional. Having integrated detergent improves the quality of mop washing and, consequently, floor mopping. It is a detail to consider if complete convenience is sought.
Only the Dreame L10s Ultra Gen 3 offers the possibility of purchasing a plumbing connection kit, which is sold separately. This accessory allows the base station to be connected to the water supply and drainage, eliminating the need to manually refill and empty tanks. None of the three models include this connection integrated from the factory.
Dimensions
All three robots measure 350 mm in diameter and 97 mm in height. These measurements are standard in the segment and allow access under most furniture with legs over 10 cm.
The differences lie in the base stations. The Mova E40 Ultra and Dreame L10s Ultra Gen 3 are 340 mm wide, 456.7-457 mm deep and 590-590.5 mm tall. The Mova P50 Ultra, however, measures 420 mm wide, 458 mm deep and 470 mm tall. That is, the P50 Ultra is wider but notably less tall, which can facilitate its placement under worktops or in spaces with limited height.
Real-World Experience
For homes with pets, the Dreame L10s Ultra Gen 3 combines greater suction power and pet recognition, which can prove advantageous. The Hyperstream brush present on all three models helps reduce hair tangles, but the Dreame's extra power facilitates the extraction of hair embedded in carpets.
The Mova P50 Ultra stands out for lifting the main and side brushes during mopping, which improves hygiene and prevents them from getting unnecessarily dirty. The ability to overcome 22 mm obstacles can also make a difference in homes with level changes or high door profiles. Curtain detection is useful in households with long curtains that reach the floor.
The Mova E40 Ultra is the most basic option of the three, with lower suction power, no brush lifting, no extendable side brush and no tray self-cleaning. However, it features an anti-tangle side brush and pet recognition, making it functional for medium-sized homes without thick carpets.
Regarding maintenance, the Dreame L10s Ultra Gen 3 and Mova P50 Ultra require less intervention thanks to tray self-cleaning. The standard detergent tank on the Dreame also reduces the need for manual attention. The possibility of purchasing the plumbing connection kit for the Dreame is a bonus for those seeking maximum autonomy, although it involves an additional cost.
Conclusion: Which to Choose?
Choose the Mova E40 Ultra if you are looking for a functional option for medium-sized homes without thick carpets, with long-haired pets and a tight budget. The anti-tangle side brush and pet recognition are its strong points, although the lack of tray self-cleaning and brush lifting may require somewhat more manual attention.
Choose the Dreame L10s Ultra Gen 3 if you prioritise suction power, especially in homes with carpets or floors with deep joints. The tray self-cleaning, standard detergent tank and possibility of purchasing the plumbing connection kit make it the most complete option for those seeking maximum autonomy. The extendable side brush improves corner sweeping, compensating for the absence of an anti-tangle version.
Choose the Mova P50 Ultra if you value brush lifting during mopping to maintain hygiene, need to overcome obstacles up to 22 mm or have long curtains that reach the floor. The wider but less tall base station can be advantageous in spaces with limited height. It is a balanced option for homes with level changes and without pets requiring specific recognition.
