Introduction

Choosing between the Dreame L50s Pro Ultra and Roborock's two latest offerings, the Qrevo Curv 2 Flow and the Qrevo Edge 2, is no simple task. We're looking at three high-end robots launched in 2026 that share the same philosophy: laser navigation, comprehensive multifunctional bases and advanced mopping systems. The Dreame model opts for raw power and a more compact design, whilst the two Roborock units differ from each other in height, mopping system and obstacle-avoidance capability.

These three robots are designed for medium or large homes where total automation is sought: powerful vacuuming, effective mopping with self-washing and self-drying mops, and intelligent navigation capable of recognising hundreds of objects. The choice will depend on specific priorities: whether you need to get under low furniture, whether you value maximum suction power or whether you prefer a mopping roller over rotating mops.

Power and Suction

Here the Dreame L50s Pro Ultra sets itself apart with its 30,000 Pa of suction power, a figure that places it amongst the most powerful on the market. The Qrevo Edge 2 stays at 25,000 Pa and the Qrevo Curv 2 Flow at 20,000 Pa. This difference is particularly noticeable on thick carpets or when there's a lot of accumulated pet hair.

As for the main brush, the Dreame opts for the dual HyperStream anti-tangle brush, a design with two brushes anchored at one end that considerably reduces hair tangles. The two Roborock models feature the DuoDivide system, which pushes hairs towards the central gap to facilitate direct suction. Both approaches work well, although the HyperStream usually requires less manual maintenance.

All three robots lift the main brush during mopping, avoiding soiling the mops. The side brush is also liftable on the Dreame and the Qrevo Curv 2 Flow, but not on the Qrevo Edge 2. On the other hand, the Dreame and the Qrevo Edge 2 feature an extendable side brush to better reach corners, a function the Qrevo Curv 2 Flow doesn't have. All incorporate anti-tangle systems on the side brush, although the Qrevo Curv 2 Flow uses a dual side brush.

Mopping

The mopping system is one of the areas where these three models differ most. The Qrevo Curv 2 Flow uses a 270 mm roller that spins at 200 RPM, a different approach to its competitors. This roller covers more contact surface and is effective on very dirty floors, although it requires the robot to pass closer to edges.

The Dreame L50s Pro Ultra features two rotating mops that spin at 180 RPM, whilst the Qrevo Edge 2 also uses two mops but at higher speed: 230 RPM and with 8N pressure. This higher speed and pressure of the Edge 2 translates into better removal of dried stains.

All three models extend their mops to clean edges. The Dreame adds RoboSwing movement, which allows the mop to slightly reach under overhangs or furniture. Mop lift varies: the Qrevo Curv 2 Flow lifts up to 15 mm and can also cover the roller, the Qrevo Edge 2 reaches 12 mm and the Dreame 10.5 mm. These differences matter if you have medium or long pile carpets.

Only the Qrevo Edge 2 mops with warm water, which helps dissolve grease better. The other two use cold water for floor mopping, although all wash the mops with hot water at the base. The Dreame and the Qrevo Edge 2 can automatically remove the mops at the base when you only want to vacuum, something the Qrevo Curv 2 Flow doesn't do.

All detect dirt both on the mops and on the floor, adjusting washing or scrubbing as necessary.

Navigation System

The Dreame L50s Pro Ultra and the Qrevo Curv 2 Flow feature conventional 360° LiDAR turret, whilst the Qrevo Edge 2 incorporates a retractable LiDAR that hides when not needed. This design reduces the robot's total height to just 79.8 mm, allowing it to enter under furniture where the other two cannot reach.

All three feature a front camera with artificial intelligence to recognise obstacles. The Dreame uses a dual camera, which improves depth perception. In number of recognised objects, the Qrevo Edge 2 leads with 280, followed by the Dreame with 220 and the Qrevo Curv 2 Flow with 200.

All recognise pets and feature front 3D laser sensor, LED for night vision and remote camera access. The Dreame and the Qrevo Edge 2 detect curtains, avoiding getting tangled in them; the Qrevo Curv 2 Flow doesn't include this specific function.

Regarding intelligent cleaning, the Dreame uses CleanGenius 3.0 and the two Roborock models SmartPlan 3.0. Both systems adjust routes and power according to floor type and detected dirt.

Runtime and Battery

All three robots feature 5,200 mAh batteries. The Qrevo Curv 2 Flow offers 242 minutes of runtime, the Qrevo Edge 2 reaches 188 minutes and this data is not specified for the Dreame L50s Pro Ultra. The Qrevo Curv 2 Flow's greater runtime may be due to its lower suction power, which consumes less energy.

In practice, any of the three can clean large homes without problems, as they automatically return to the base to recharge and continue where they left off.

Smart Features

The ability to overcome obstacles marks a notable difference. The Dreame L50s Pro Ultra can navigate single steps up to 22 mm and double steps up to 40 mm, an exceptional figure that allows it to pass through complicated transitions between rooms or climb very thick carpets. The two Roborock models stay at 20 mm.

All three robots include their own voice assistant and are compatible with Alexa and Google Home, facilitating control by voice commands.

Multifunctional Cleaning Base

All three bases automatically empty the robot's dust bin, wash and dry the mops. The Dreame washes mops with hot water at 100°C, the highest temperature of the three, which guarantees deeper disinfection. The Qrevo Edge 2 washes at 80°C and the Qrevo Curv 2 Flow at 75°C.

As for drying, the Qrevo Curv 2 Flow and the Qrevo Edge 2 dry at 55°C, whilst the Dreame does so at 45°C. Higher temperatures speed up drying and reduce the risk of bad odours.

The Dreame incorporates third-generation tray self-cleaning, the Qrevo Edge 2 version 2.0 and the Qrevo Curv 2 Flow also includes it. Only the Dreame features an integrated detergent tank, which allows cleaning product to be added to mop washing automatically.

The dust bag capacity is greater in the Dreame: 3.2 litres compared to 2.7 litres for the two Roborock models. In water tanks, the Dreame also leads with 4.5 litres of clean water and 4 litres of dirty; the Roborock models have 4 and 3.5 litres respectively. More capacity means fewer manual refills.

The Dreame offers a plumbing connection kit that is purchased separately, allowing the base to be connected to the water supply and drainage. The two Roborock models don't offer this option even as an accessory.

Dimensions

The Qrevo Edge 2 is the lowest at 79.8 mm in height, followed by the Dreame at 103.8 mm and the Qrevo Curv 2 Flow at 119 mm. If you have low furniture or beds with little clearance, the Edge 2 is the clear choice.

In diameter, all three are similar: the Dreame measures 350 mm, the Qrevo Edge 2 352 mm and the Qrevo Curv 2 Flow 353 mm. Minimal differences that don't affect manoeuvrability.

The bases also vary in size. The Qrevo Curv 2 Flow's forms an almost perfect cube of 450 mm in each dimension, taking up less space in depth. The Dreame has a base of 340 mm wide, 590 mm high and 457 mm deep. The Qrevo Edge 2 measures 340 x 521 x 487 mm. It's worth measuring the available space before deciding.

Real-World User Experience

In large homes, the Qrevo Curv 2 Flow stands out for its 242-minute runtime, sufficient to clean large surfaces without interruptions. The Dreame compensates with greater capacity in tanks and dust bag, reducing maintenance frequency.

If you have pets, the Dreame L50s Pro Ultra offers the highest suction power and the HyperStream system that minimises tangles. The two Roborock models with DuoDivide also work very well, but the Dreame requires less manual brush cleaning.

For homes with carpets, the Dreame's ability to climb 40 mm steps is decisive. Thick carpets or complicated transitions won't be a problem. The Roborock models, limited to 20 mm, may have difficulties in some cases.

If you're looking to get under low furniture, the Qrevo Edge 2 with its 79.8 mm height is unbeatable. It enters where the other two cannot, cleaning areas that would normally remain unvacuumed.

In homes where maximum hygiene is valued, the Dreame's 100°C mop washing and its automatic detergent tank make a difference. The Qrevo Edge 2's warm water during mopping is also a plus for floors with grease.

Conclusion: Which to Choose?

Choose the Dreame L50s Pro Ultra if you're looking for maximum suction power, you have pets that shed a lot of hair, you need to overcome high steps or very thick carpets, and you value 100°C mop washing with automatic detergent. It's also the best option if you want the largest tanks and the future possibility of connecting the base to plumbing.

Choose the Roborock Qrevo Curv 2 Flow if you prefer a roller mopping system, you're looking for the longest battery runtime for large homes, and you're interested in a compact base that takes up less space. The 270 mm roller is especially effective on very dirty floors, and its dual side brush improves edge cleaning.

Choose the Roborock Qrevo Edge 2 if you need a robot that gets under low furniture, you value recognition of the greatest number of obstacles, and you prefer fast rotating mops with 8N pressure. Mopping with warm water and the ability to automatically remove mops make it ideal for homes with a mix of hard floors and carpets, especially if spaces under furniture are a cleaning priority
