Dreame positions the L50 Pro Ultra as a feature-packed model, with a particular focus on advanced obstacle recognition and longer battery life. Roborock, one of the leading brands in the sector, offers the Qrevo EdgeT with a more compact design and a refined navigation system. Both are designed for medium to large homes, households with pets and users looking for maximum convenience without sacrificing high-level everyday cleaning performance.

Suction Power and Vacuuming

Suction power marks the first difference between these two models. The Dreame L50 Pro Ultra reaches 19,500 Pa, slightly exceeding the 18,500 Pa of the Roborock Qrevo EdgeT. In practice, this difference may be most noticeable on long-pile carpets or where fine dust builds up in flooring joints.

The main brush design is more significant. The L50 Pro Ultra uses a dual HyperStream anti-tangle system, with two rollers anchored at one end to make it much harder for hair to wrap around them. The Qrevo EdgeT uses Roborock's DuoDivide brush, which directs hair towards the central suction opening for direct removal and is also highly effective at reducing tangles.

Both lift the main brush while mopping to avoid dragging wet dirt around. Both also feature extendable anti-tangle side brushes, but the Dreame additionally lifts its side brush while mopping, something the Roborock does not offer. This allows the L50 Pro Ultra to keep the side brush away from areas that have already been mopped and prevents it from getting unnecessarily wet.

Mopping

Both models use two rotating mop pads, although at different speeds: 180 RPM on the Dreame L50 Pro Ultra and 200 RPM on the Roborock Qrevo EdgeT. The Roborock's higher rotation speed may provide greater scrubbing action against stuck-on stains.

The Dreame L50 Pro Ultra has a 6,400 mAh battery with a claimed runtime of 200 minutes in standard mode. The Roborock Qrevo EdgeT uses a 5,200 mAh battery, although the manufacturer does not specify a runtime in minutes.

The Dreame supports fast charging, something the Roborock does not offer. This can matter in larger homes where the robot needs to recharge midway through a cleaning session: the L50 Pro Ultra can recover power more quickly and resume cleaning sooner.

In practice, both robots are designed for large areas. With its larger battery and fast charging, the Dreame is particularly well suited to homes larger than 150 m² with multiple rooms.

Smart Features

Obstacle-crossing capability differs considerably. The Dreame L50 Pro Ultra can cross single thresholds up to 22 mm and double thresholds up to 40 mm, while the Roborock Qrevo EdgeT is limited to 20 mm. This makes the Dreame better suited to difficult transitions between rooms, raised thresholds and changes in level around terraces.

Both include their own built-in voice assistant and support Alexa and Google Home. Both also support Matter, although on the Dreame this feature is enabled through an OTA update.

Multifunction Cleaning Dock

Both docks automatically empty the robot's dustbin, wash the mop pads using 75°C hot water and dry them with 45°C warm air. Both also feature third-generation washing tray self-cleaning — third generation on the Dreame and 3.0 on the Roborock — helping to reduce residue and unpleasant odours inside the dock itself.

For homes with pets, the Dreame's dual HyperStream brush minimises hair tangles, although Roborock's DuoDivide system also performs very well. The L50 Pro Ultra's 19,500 Pa suction power may provide an advantage on carpets where dog or cat hair tends to accumulate.
