Introduction
The Dreame L50 Pro Ultra, the Dreame L50s Pro Ultra and the Mova Z50 Ultra represent three high-end propositions within the Dreame ecosystem, a brand that also manufactures the Mova models. All three integrate a complete multifunction base with auto-emptying, mop washing and drying, as well as advanced navigation systems with dual camera and artificial intelligence. The L50 Pro Ultra arrived in 2025, whilst the L50s Pro Ultra was launched in 2026 and the Mova Z50 Ultra also in 2025.
These units are designed for homes seeking total automation of mopping and vacuuming, with the ability to recognise more than 160 different obstacles and intelligent cleaning systems. The main difference lies in suction power, main brush design and some details in height and mopping configuration.
Power and Suction
Suction power marks a notable difference. The Dreame L50s Pro Ultra delivers 30,000 Pa, a figure that places it amongst the most powerful robots on the market. In comparison, the Dreame L50 Pro Ultra remains at 19,500 Pa and the Mova Z50 Ultra at 19,000 Pa. This difference can be particularly noticeable on high-pile carpets or in homes with pets that shed a lot of hair.
The brushing system varies according to model. The two Dreame models integrate a dual HyperStream brush, a design anchored at one end that significantly reduces hair tangles. The Mova Z50 Ultra opts for the TriCut 3.0 brush, which combines bristles with blades to cut tangled hairs. Both approaches work well, although the HyperStream usually requires less maintenance.
All three units raise both the main brush and the side brush when they activate mopping mode, preventing the bristles from touching the wet floor. The side brush is also extendable on all three models, which improves cleaning in corners and edges. All include anti-tangle technology on the side brush.
Mopping
The mopping system presents important differences. The Dreame L50 Pro Ultra and L50s Pro Ultra use two rotating mops that extend with Roboswing movement, allowing the robot to insert the mops under furniture and overhangs through a reversing movement. The Mova Z50 Ultra employs a wide roller with an extendable mini side mop, a different approach that also covers edges well.
Mop lift reaches 10.5 mm on both Dreame models, whilst the Mova Z50 Ultra remains at 7 mm. This allows the former to better avoid thin carpets without wetting them. An exclusive advantage of the Mova Z50 Ultra is that it mops the floor with hot water, which improves the dissolution of grease and adhered dirt. The Dreame models mop with cold water.
The Dreame models can automatically detach the mops at the base, a useful function if you only want to vacuum without mopping. The Mova Z50 Ultra does not offer this option. All three detect dirt both on the mops and on the floor, adjusting mopping intensity and returning to pass over dirtier areas.
Navigation System
The Dreame L50 Pro Ultra mounts a retractable LiDAR system, whilst the L50s Pro Ultra and the Mova Z50 Ultra use a conventional LiDAR turret. This explains part of the height difference between models. All three integrate dual camera with artificial intelligence and front 3D laser sensor to avoid obstacles with precision.
The Dreame L50s Pro Ultra recognises up to 220 different obstacles, surpassing the 180 of the L50 Pro Ultra and the 160 of the Mova Z50 Ultra. In practice, this translates into better ability to identify small objects such as cables, toys or socks. All recognise pets and curtains, adapting their cleaning behaviour.
All three allow remote access to the camera and feature night vision LED. CleanGenius intelligence is present in all three models, optimising routes and adjusting power according to the type of dirt detected. The Dreame L50 Pro Ultra specifies that it mounts the AI Sage 13.0 processor, although the CPUs of the other two models are not detailed.
Autonomy and Battery
The Dreame L50 Pro Ultra and the Mova Z50 Ultra share a 6,400 mAh battery, whilst the Dreame L50s Pro Ultra reduces capacity to 5,200 mAh. Only the L50 Pro Ultra specifies autonomy: 200 minutes, sufficient to cover large homes in a single session. The battery reduction in the L50s Pro Ultra is probably compensated by its greater energy efficiency, although there are no specific autonomy data.
For homes of more than 150 square metres, it is worth considering battery capacity. The L50 Pro Ultra offers the greatest documented autonomy, which reduces interruptions in houses with many rooms.
Intelligent Functions
All three models overcome simple steps, although the Mova Z50 Ultra specifies that it can handle obstacles of up to 22 mm. All integrate their own voice assistant in addition to compatibility with Alexa and Google Home, allowing voice command control without needing to open the application.
None of the three incorporates a robotic arm, a function reserved for higher-end models in other brands.
Multifunction Cleaning Base
All three bases perform auto-emptying of the dust container, mop washing with hot water and drying with hot air. The Dreame L50 Pro Ultra and L50s Pro Ultra integrate third-generation tray self-cleaning, which significantly reduces manual maintenance. The Mova Z50 Ultra does not include this function, which means cleaning the tray manually more frequently.
The dust bag of the Mova Z50 Ultra has 4 litres of capacity, compared to the 3.2 litres of the Dreame models. This means fewer bag changes, especially useful in homes with pets or a lot of dust. The clean and dirty water tanks are identical in all three: 4.5 litres and 4 litres respectively.
The Dreame models offer an optional kit for connection to plumbing, which must be purchased separately. The Mova Z50 Ultra does not have this option. None comes with integrated plumbing connection from the factory. All three include a detergent tank to add product during mop washing.
Dimensions
The robot's height is a decisive factor for passing under furniture. The Dreame L50 Pro Ultra measures 89 mm, the lowest of the three thanks to its retractable LiDAR. The L50s Pro Ultra reaches 103.8 mm and the Mova Z50 Ultra 111 mm. If you have low furniture or beds with little distance from the floor, the L50 Pro Ultra has a clear advantage.
The diameter is identical in all three: 350 mm. The bases present slight variations. The Dreame models measure 340 mm in width compared to the 390 mm of the Mova Z50 Ultra. In height, the Dreame models are around 590 mm and the Mova 545 mm. The depth ranges between 456 and 463 mm. These differences are not determining factors, but it is worth measuring them if the space for the base is tight.
Real-world experience
The Dreame L50 Pro Ultra stands out for homes with low furniture thanks to its 89 mm height. Its 200-minute autonomy and 6,400 mAh battery make it ideal for large houses. The dual HyperStream brush reduces maintenance in homes with pets, and the third-generation tray self-cleaning minimises manual interventions.
The Dreame L50s Pro Ultra excels in raw power with its 30,000 Pa, recommended if you have thick carpets or need maximum suction capacity. It recognises more obstacles than the other two, which improves navigation in spaces with many small objects. The 5,200 mAh battery is sufficient for medium-sized flats.
The Mova Z50 Ultra provides mopping with hot water on the floor, a notable advantage for adhered dirt or grease. Its 4-litre bag reduces the frequency of changes, and the TriCut 3.0 brush works well with hair. The 111 mm height may limit its passage under some furniture, but the wide mopping roller covers large surfaces well. By not automatically detaching mops, they always remain installed even in vacuum-only mode.
Conclusion: Which to choose?
Choose the Dreame L50 Pro Ultra if you have low furniture, need maximum autonomy for large homes, value reducing maintenance with advanced tray self-cleaning and prefer a robot that passes under most furniture without problems. Its balance between power, reduced height and intelligent functions makes it versatile.
Choose the Dreame L50s Pro Ultra if you seek the greatest available suction power, have thick carpets or pets that shed a lot of hair, and need the most complete obstacle recognition system. It is the most powerful option of the three, although it sacrifices some battery and height compared to the L50 Pro Ultra.
Choose the Mova Z50 Ultra if you prioritise mopping with hot water on the floor to eliminate grease and adhered dirt, prefer the wide roller system for mopping large surfaces in one pass, and value a larger dust bag that requires fewer changes. Bear in mind that it does not automatically detach mops and that its height may limit access under very low furniture.
